The Department of Banking and Finance aims to raise a new generation of highly experienced professionals and therefore contribute to the labor market’s needs. For years, BAF department has successfully cooperated with leaders in the Cambodian banking industry in terms of curriculum development and internship opportunities.
Additionally, BAF students get a chance to video-conference with distinguished international bankers and chiefs of different organizations and learn useful administration strategies from them.
For many years, the BAF department remains of high interest to Cambodian and foreign high-school graduates. The students will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge to operate in Cambodia and abroad from the learnt theoretical framework, banking system, Cambodian economy and accounting, etc.
Finance exists everywhere. In commercial settings, a corporate financial system is in need for various purposes, from understanding business performance, managing companies' fund, formulating fundraising strategy, to making strategic investment decisions, and the like. From a bigger perspective, banking and financial system are very crucial to the economic flow. Due to this, our Banking and Finance students are exposed to numerous learning and professional development opportunities.
Students do not only focus on classroom study but also enjoy self-study or other extracurricular activities. Students are required to do full-time work in their fourth year of study when they can familiarize themselves with the formal working environment.
Students get to exposed to international financial markets, both global and local economic and financial system, coupled with other subjects including without limitation to business, economics, basic of Cambodia laws. Students are encouraged to select elective courses from the other departments to prepare themselves for graduate schools.
The school and faculty team has been encouraging students and supporting them to participate in competitions, events, conferences, etc., that stimulates our professional and personal development.
